Training plays a very vital role for building a skilled and efficient manpower that motivates people,working in the organization to perform their job towards achieving desired organizational goal.Training increases professional knowledge, develops working skills and brings about changes in attitude positively among the people of the entity. Rupali Bank Training Academy (RBTA) situated at 15/17, Sadek Hossain Khoka Road, Motijheel, Dhaka. It is reasonably a well furnished, renovated and modern training centre which has been offering quality training to Rupali Bank employees since its inception. Primarily it was founded on 5 July, 1976 at Eskaton, Moghbazar, Dhaka. From the very beginning of its establishment, this training organization has been playing expected role of transforming employees into human resources by its multifarious training activities as desired by the bank.Now the training academy is organizing on-campus and online training activities both centrally and locally to disseminate new ideas and up to date knowledge on overall banking and financial activities.

Looking back to the Past

Rupali Bank PLC is one of the largest state-owned commercial bank in Bangladesh which was constituted with the merger of 3 (three) erstwhile commercial banks i.e. Muslim Commercial Bank, Australasia Bank and Standard Bank Limited operated in the then Pakistan on March 26, 1972 under the Bangladesh Banks (Nationalization) Order 1972 (P.O. No. 26 of 1972).Since its inception, the bank started its journey with a very nice slogan “Assures Better Service”. To signify the slogan of the bank, RBTA has continuously been striving for building up a skilled human resource to capacitate assuring better service to the customers. Training is one of the most effective tool of building up efficient human resources. Training creates a congenial environment for learning knowledge, developing skill and brings about attitudinal positive changes to cope with the changing views, technologies and strategies. Keeping this view in mind, Rupali Bank PLC founded a training institution named Rupali Bank Training Institute on 5 July 1976 under the dynamic leadership of the then veteran and legendary banker, former governor of Bangladesh Bank, late Lutfar Rahman Sarkar and co-founding associate, former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank late Khandoker Ibrahim Khaled.

At the beginning, the training activities had been executing in the name of Rupali Bank Training Institute (RBTI), afterwards it was renamed as Rupali Bank Human Resource Development Center (RBHRDC), and at present the training activities are running in the name of Rupali Bank Training Academy (RBTA).
